"I once saw a very respectable- looking middle-aged woman stopped by a security guard on her way out of a shop in Oxford Street. The woman became extremely indignant when questioned. As the guard grabbed a fistful of CDs from her bag, she shouted in a hoity-toity voice “How dare you go in my bag?”, clearly feeling this to be a much worse crime than stealing the CDs.
